Vikings running back Adrian Peterson says that he's been following the Brett Favre saga, like everybody else, but that it isn't a distraction for the team, which opens training camp next week.

"No, not at all," Peterson said Friday morning at the Vikings' Winter Park headquarters, where he was playing host to a youth football camp. "I've been watching it. It's not a distraction. It's kind of entertaining to me."

Green Bay has accused the Vikings of tampering with Favre, the Packers' quarterback who announced his retirement earlier this off-season but has reconsidered. The Vikings have said they will not comment on the situation.

Favre has asked the Packers to grant him his release, but they have declined.

Favre and Peterson both were in Los Angeles this week for the ESPY Awards. Peterson said he saw Favre, but didn't talk to him.
